As an artist manager, Nancy Meyer has coordinated all aspects of her clients' careers including; recording, publishing, publicity, touring, educational, symphony and performing arts engagements. Out of these activities, her current responsibilities have grown to encompass the complex world of royalty management, overseeing royalty income for artists' heirs. She is also active in the area of Music Supervision and Rights Clearance. Before forming Bates Meyer, Inc., Meyer was Vice President at The Cameron Organisation, Inc., a position held for over 20 years. The Cameron Organisation is an artist management firm, which specializes in intellectual property recovery. Her responsibilities there included working with the estates of Jimmy Reed, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Rogers, Robert Geddins and Little Brother Montgomery among others. She took charge of certain client royalty recoveries, which entailed copyright research, contract negotiations and maintenance of royalty accounts related to recorded masters, musical copyrights, merchandising, name and image rights. From 1991 to 2001 Meyer was also responsible for the music publishing and tour activity support for guitar legend Buddy Guy.

Prior to entering the field of music management, Meyer worked in radio and television. This included a stint as a writer at WIFR-TV (CBS affiliate) in Rockford, Illinois and Public Affairs Assistant at WOPA-AM in Oak Park, Illinois. She was also a disc jockey at college station WKDI-FM. Her education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (emphasis Radio/TV/Film) from Northern Illinois University with a Minor in Journalism. She was a LOS ANGELES MUSIC AWARD recipient in 2000, in recognition of contributions to the multicultural heritage of music for youth and the community.

Rick Bates has worked in the field of music for over 20 years, with a majority of that time spent in Artist Management. He formed Rick Bates Management in 1993 and handled the careers of Blues greats Otis Rush, John Lee Hooker, Ike Turner, and Joe Louis Walker. Prior to forming his own business, Bates was a principle in Linda Clark & Associates where he was a partner in the management of Los Lobos, Husker Du, Bob Mould and Violent Femmes. Bates was directly involved in all areas of the artists' work; touring, recording, publishing, publicity, promotional videos and special collaborations including the successful Los Lobos soundtrack "La Bamba." Bates was previously a booking agent at The Rosebud Agency where he coordinated the tours of John Hiatt, the Neville Brothers, Willie Dixon, John Lee Hooker, Robert Cray and Mose Allison.

While attending San Jose State University, Bates founded the Metro Fountain Blues Festival, now in its 30th year. He also headed the concert committee for the Associated Student Program Board promoting numerous concerts on campus, while earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Marketing.
